Questions

Will my photo be accepted?

We check everything that can be measured: size, head position, eye line, tilt, eyes, mouth, light, sharpness and background. The final decision is always made by the passport or visa office. If a check is flagged, fix it before you apply.

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no card and no subscription.

Do you change my face or background?

No. We only crop and resize. The US, UK and many other countries reject retouched or edited photos, so we never smooth skin, whiten teeth or replace backgrounds. If the background is wrong, we tell you how to retake the photo.

Is my photo uploaded or stored?

No. The checks run inside your own browser, so your photo does not leave your device.

How do I get printed photos?

Download the 6 × 4 in print sheet and print it at any photo shop or kiosk at 100% size, with no scaling. Then cut along the grey lines.

Can I wear glasses or a head covering?

Glasses are banned for US, Brazil and Indian passport photos, and best removed everywhere else. Religious head coverings are usually allowed if your whole face shows from chin to forehead.

Can I make a photo for my baby?

Yes, for documents that allow it. Lay your baby on a plain white sheet and take the photo from above. No hands, toys or dummies in the picture.
