Tips for your Indian e-Visa photo

  • Square JPEG, 350 to 1000 pixels, 10 KB to 1 MB.
  • Full head from top of hair to chin, centred.
  • Stand in front of a plain, light wall, a step away from it so no shadow falls behind you.
  • Face a window so light falls evenly on both sides of your face.
  • Ask someone to take the photo about 1.5 m away, at your eye level, with space above your head.
