Resize Image to 20 KB
Choose your photo and it is made smaller than 20 KB straight away, with the best quality that fits. You can also set an exact size in pixels, such as 200 × 230 px.
How to make a photo under 20 KB
- Choose your file. It is resized straight away, on your own device.
- Check the limits. Type the KB and pixel size your form asks for, if they are different.
- If the shape is different, choose Crop to fill and drag the picture into place, or Add white space.
- Check the new file size, then download the JPG (a free account is needed to download).
Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The resizing happens inside your browser, so your file never leaves your phone or computer.
Why is my picture not sharp at a very small KB size?
A tiny file has room for less detail. We always use the best quality that still fits. If it looks too soft, use a smaller size in pixels, which keeps it sharper at the same KB.
My form asks for a minimum size too. Can you do that?
Yes. Type it in “Minimum (KB)”. If the file comes out smaller, we add empty space inside the file data so it meets the minimum. Your picture does not change.
What file type do I get?
A JPG file, which nearly every online form accepts.
Can I resize a signature?
Yes. Choose “Signature”, and turn on “Make the paper white and the ink darker” for a clean look on white.
Is it free?
Yes. You only need a free account to download. No card and no subscription.
Need a passport or visa photo? Our photo tool crops it to the official size and checks it against the rules.
